Automic AE Archive Browser

Automic Automation accumulates vast amounts of historical execution data over time. The Automation Engine (AE) DB Archive utility (ucybdbar) exports this data from the AE database into archive files on disk - but without a dedicated viewer, searching that history means writing scripts or digging through raw files. AE Archive Browser is a standalone web application that reads those archive files and makes them instantly searchable through a modern browser interface. It builds a full-text Lucene search index from your archive files and keeps it up to date automatically as new files arrive - no connection to the live AE system required at query time. Operators and support engineers can filter millions of historical executions, read execution reports, and browse AE system messages in seconds. A complete REST API exposes all the same capabilities programmatically, enabling integration with external monitoring, reporting, and ticketing systems.

Automic Features

AE Archive Browser supports the following capabilities:
  • Search and filter archived executions by object name, status, user, agent, department, timeframe, archive keys, parent workflow, client, and object type
  • Read execution reports (activation, execution, and others) directly in the browser with line numbers, word-wrap, in-page search, copy, and download
  • Full-text search across all indexed report content — find any string and navigate directly to the matching execution

  • Expand workflow (JOBP) executions inline to view their child task hierarchy
  • Save and reuse named filter combinations across browser sessions
